• Promote the South Main Street District as the centerpiece of the city's "heritage tourism" business development
• Support the planned conversion of the railroad station to serve as the offices of the visitors bureau
• Target attraction and support of tourist or visitor-related businesses
• Rehabilitate turn-of-the-century buildings and promote their historic character
• Establish weekly farmer's market, antique shows, auctions and festivals in the parking lots adjacent to the railroad station
