Washington Economic Development Project

Capital Improvements and Service Plan

The Vision
  • A unique business district that welcomes people and provides a safe, vibrant and exciting place that is the heart and soul of Washington.
  • Capital Improvements: New pedestrian sidewalks with brick accent, ornamental decorative street lights, landscaping and street trees, people spaces throughout the downtown, and new infrastructure to create a uniquely attractive and charming central business district for the economic well-being of the entire city.
  • Special Services District: A regular services program of maintenance, security, promotion and marketing to showcase the central business district for local and tourist patronage.
